Meriwether GodseyMeriwether Godsey  (MG) is the dining services provider located in Fuqua's Fox Student Center. After a thorough evaluation process, Fuqua determined Meriwether Godsey's reputation, style, and commitment to excellence was the right fit for Fuqua's dining needs. MG is a regional contractor with nearly 25 years of experience in community dining, catering, and restaurants. MG is thrilled to be here as they believe the Fuqua community deserves a dining experience thats friendly, tasty and dynamic.

    Our Team

    As we have transitioned existing staff to our style, we have been focused on assuring they are given the right support to be strong team-members and committed to the best customer service standards. 

    Less Order Forms!

    The only station that requires an order form is the Grill and the drop off basket is clearly identified and made much easier.

    Made to Order That's Fast

    • "Market and Panini" station with fresh sandwiches, wraps, paninis and salads, batch-made so there's no wait.
    • "Deli" station in the exhibition area that is a walk-up, describe and it's made right before your eyes.
    • "Blue Devil Special" station with comfort foods that are dished for you as you watch.
    • "Wok Spot" station features a variety of noodles and rices with daily meat and vegetarian specials.

    New Menu with Old Favorites and New Twists.

    We will take a seasonal approach to our offerings and will incorporate local ingredients through our specials (and there are many offered daily).  This menu also promotes scratch cooking, a healthful variety as well as those comfort foods so many love.

    New "station map" and "what's your pace" to help guests find what they are looking for and make decisions based on the time they have available for dining.

    Meriwether Godsey began as a catering company more than 25 years ago. This remains one of our favorite things to do.

    We can accommodate small, large, formal and casual events. Give us a chance to be your favorite, most local caterer!

    Food the Right Way

    From what we serve to how we clean up after a meal, we are committed to reducing our impact on our natural resources. Meriwether's at Fuqua will feature many local ingredients, as well as organics, as we make every effort to offer a fresh and popular menu every day.

    Initiatives that have begun this summer and will be a focus for us include:

    • Partnerships with local artisans and farmers individually and through our relationship with Eastern Carolina Organics
    • Waste reduction in the kitchen reducing the amount of food that ends up in the trash
    • Collection of fryer oil for alternative fuel
    • Use of more sustainable disposables
