This guide is intended to summarize some of the foreign language resources available to Fuqua Students and Fuqua Partners. The guide contains:

Classes Available for Credit

Fuqua Students

Language classes are available for credit at Fuqua, Duke and University of North Carolina's (UNC) Kenan Flagler. Each Fuqua student is allowed to take up to two courses per term at UNC, North Carolina State or North Carolina Central without any additional fees.

Please Note: Classes taken outside of Fuqua follow the host schools calendar and schedule. Attendance is required in the classes even when Fuqua may not be in session. Additionally, when electing to classes outside of the business school the class must be able to fit within your Fuqua class schedule for two consecutive terms.

First year students are advised to only take classes at Fuqua or Kenan-Flagler due to scheduling.

Partners

In some cases and at the instructor's discretion, the working language classes offered through UNC (at Fuqua and KFSB) are available to Fuqua partners for a fee of $1,200.

Non-Credit Courses

Fuqua Students & Partners

Language classes are offered through Duke continuing studies. These classes meet in the evening for 8-10 weeks and are available for less than $200.

Enrollment Process

Classes at Fuqua

Fuqua Daytime MBA students can register for language classes through ACES Web during the normal enrollment period.

Partners can sign up for classes on-line at http://www.ciber.unc.edu under the working languages program or by calling Kathy Sadler at 919.962.7843.

Classes at Duke

Fuqua Daytime MBA students who wish to take language courses at Duke (other than those offered through Fuqua or Kenan-Flagler) should submit the Non-Fuqua Course Permission Form to the Fuqua Registrars.

Duke Continuing Education

Anyone may sign up for classes online at http://www.learnmore.duke.edu or by calling +1.919.684.6259.

Classes at Kenan-Flagler Business School
